*Edit* I replaced the old sketch with an actual photo of my tattoo. It was inked by Roman at Calavera Tattoo in Killeen, Texas. He's an amazing tattoo artist with a very light hand.
This only took a couple of days to do after finding the outline of the Connecticut and the right military font. I'll be getting this inked in the next few days on the back of my left arm.
Why? Connecticut is my home state and a part of my heart will always be there for the 21 years I spent living there. I miss it. Connecticut will always be home. Everyone from Texas shows some state pride in one way or another. I'm not a Texan no matter how long I live here.
The Xs are over Bridgeport and Hamden, the two towns I called home. I was born in Bridgeport and lived there for 8 years before we moved to Hamden. 203 is the area code that covers most of the state.
The dog tags are of course symbolic of my life now with the military. I may not be a solider but I've been an army wife and girlfriend long enough to have a pair of my own.
CTHC is Connecticut Hardcore. It's not just music it's a way of life. I've been involved in it since I was a kid. I wouldn't trade the friends I made through the various bands for anything. Even states away they are as supportive as ever and are really like a family to me. As always I've always been strong and as hardcore as ever.
Another symbol of my life and times set in ink. I'll upload pictures once the tattoo is done.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
